Once again this year, we are launching new OTC medicines

This month, our brand new OTC medicines - Magnefar® B6 Forte and Magnefar® B6 Bio arrived at pharmacies in Poland. This is yet another success of Biofarm, responding to the needs of patients who suffer from fatigue, cramps and other symptoms of magnesium deficiency.

Summary of drug characteristics: Magnefar^® B₆ Bio, Magnefar^® B₆Forte

Magnefar® B6 Bio: 1 film-coated tablet contains 60 mg of magnesium ions in the form of magnesium citrate and 6.06 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride.

Magnefar® B6 Forte: 1 film-coated tablet contains 100 mg of magnesium ions in the form of magnesium citrate and 10.10 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride.

Indications: Magnefar® B6 Bio and Magnefar® B6 Forte medicinal products are recommended for the treatment of magnesium deficiency. The occurrence of the following symptoms may indicate magnesium deficiency: nervousness, irritability, mood swings, mild anxiety, anxiety, temporary tiredness, drowsiness, mild sleep disturbance; symptoms of anxiety such as gastrointestinal cramps or palpitations (without heart problems); muscle cramps, tingling, eyelid twitching. Products should be used after excluding the causes of symptoms other than magnesium deficiency and when it is not possible to achieve or increase magnesium supply by following a healthy diet. In the absence of improvement after a month of using Magnefar® B6 Bio or Magnefa®r B6 Forte, continuation of treatment is not recommended.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. Magnefar® B6 Bio, Magnefar® B6 Forte should not be used in hypermagnesaemia, acute renal failure (creatinine clearance <30ml / min), significant hypotension, atrioventricular block and myasthenia gravis.

Magnefar® B6 Forte and Magnefar® B6 Bio contain well-absorbed magnesium citrate² and vitamin B₆, which positively affects the bioavailability of magnesium ions. Our products are available in two variants:

Magnefar® B6 Forte is one of the OTC medicines available on the Polish market with the highest dose of magnesium citrate.

Magnefar® B6 Forte and Magnefar® B6 Bio are medicinal products recommended for the treatment of magnesium deficiency which may be indicated by the following symptoms:

nervousness, irritability, mood swings, mild anxiety, anxiety, temporary tiredness, drowsiness, mild sleep disturbance;
anxiety symptoms such as gastrointestinal cramps or palpitations (without heart problems);
muscle cramps, tingling, eyelid twitching.

Support of local initiatives is one of the pillars in our corporate social responsibility mission. As a response to the needs of a Specialised Rescue Group of the Volunteer Fire Brigade from Poznań we provided two drug donations. We hosted a representation of the Rescue Group at Biofarm who as a gratitute gift shared their rescue missions experience.
